Ann Townend Hall

The Ann Townend Hall, build as a Sunday school, was erected in 1881. A group of trustees currently manage the running of the all.

Location

It is easily accessible from all directions. If you are coming from Tewkesbury follow the A38 north through Shuthonger. Turn right where 40mph limit ends (signposted Twyning), right again at the end and then first left towards the church - the Hall will be on your left. If you are coming from the M50, come off at junction 1 onto the A38 towards Tewkesbury. Turn left at the start of 40mph limit. Down Pages Lane, then a right turn - left in 50m.

Facilities

It has seating for up to 60 people, with lots of small and large Go-Pak folding tables and enough crockery and cutlery to cater for this number. Plus there is a large enclosed garden with tables and seat sets for picnics (shade umbrellas are available when we do see the hot summer sun!). There is an instant water heater for tea and coffee. Plus there is a drop down screen for films, and all the windows have blinds to allow for this to be used well in daylight.

Booking

Presently the Probus Club has a booking on Monday mornings, and the Twyning Bridge Club meet in the Hall every Tuesday and Thursday evening.

So there is a lot of availability for other bookings! The Hall can host a variety of community and family events from children's parties to wakes and everything in-between.
